THE QUILL ARTICLE
Announcement & Request
As the new manager of Barristers Title Services, a Division of Fidelity National Title, among other things, I was tasked with alleviating the office’s 1200+ backlog of final title policies that needed to be produced and sent to our customers. Even though the team was working on final title policy production on a daily basis prior to January 1, 2022, the backlog continued to grow. This was in part due to the unprecedented number of orders our office received in 2020 and 2021. Thank you for the business! We appreciate each order you send our way.
As some of you are aware, we outsourced the production of many of our final title policies to a division of Fidelity National Title…an added benefit of joining forces with Fidelity National Title. While this FNT division was helpful with dwindling the number of final policies we needed to produce, the real MVP goes to our Residential Underwriting Team. The team has worked extremely hard over the past few months producing final title policies, while also underwriting new orders. I am happy to announce our office is completely caught up on issuing final policies and we no longer have a final policy production backlog! If you have sent us a final title opinion and premium check for one of your transactions, but have not received the final title policy(ies) from our office, please feel free to reach out to us with the order number and we will be happy to review our files.
Thank you for your patience with us as we worked through the backlog and your continued support of our office!
While we are on the topic of final title policies, please be advised, beginning May 1, 2022 our office will no longer be mailing owner and loan policies to insured owners and lenders. Going forward, please include a valid email address for the owner and lender on your final title opinion. We will email policies to insured owners and lenders upon receipt of their email addresses.
Thank you!
Natasha

NEWBORN ANNOUNCEMENT
Meet Grayson Moorefield
Our very own Kristen Moorefield and her family welcomed a new bundle of joy this past month! Grayson was born on March 3rd (a whole month early!) and mom and baby are doing great!
“Brandon and I are beyond happy to have Grayson earth side with us and growing chunkier by the day! We weren’t expecting him to join our family as early as he did (a month before his due date), but thankfully big sister Diana is adjusting well. There have been lots of snuggles and giggles since we got home.”
Meet the Family
Shelby LeHew, Commercial Title Assistant
We would like to introduce another member to our Barristers family, Shelby LeHew!
Shelby graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies. After moving back home, she fell into a job working as a legal assistant for a law firm in High Point, NC. Life happened and she got happily married and moved to Catawba, NC. Once settled there, she started working for Fidelity National Title in the Charlotte Branch as the Title Assistant. Shelby recently became a licensed underwriter and she hopes to continue to grow and develop in the title industry.
Shelby loves spending her summer weekends on Lake Norman with her husband, Shane and their two dogs, playing a round of golf, or just being outside in general! You can reach out to Shelby at
