OCTOBER is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are joining the fight and so can you!
would venture to say that most of us have known someone affected by breast cancer or have been touched personally in one way, shape or form. For the past 5 years we have partnered with an inspiring local organization out of Greensboro, NC called Earlier.org. Their mission is focused solely on discovering a biological test for earlier detection in order to reduce and prevent invasive surgery, minimize treatment, and dramatically increase survival rates.
With your assistance, Barristers has donated nearly $30,000 over the years and we thank you in advance for giving us a Helping Hand this October. For the entire month we will donate a portion of each title Order that we receive to Earlier.org. The more Orders we receive, the more money we will donate, thereby allowing you to make an impact in the process.
Please take a minute and click HERE to see how this organization plays a role in early detection of this disease. And click HERE to read some inspiring stories of hope! (Click on each person’s photo to read their story).
Breast cancer is not an option, earlier diagnosis is. TURN YOUR RIBBON UPSIDE DOWN!!!
Thank You!
Sending you our sincerest thank you’s for joining us at our annual CLE and Happy Hour in Charlotte and Raleigh last month. We enjoyed seeing you and we look forward to more fun events to come.

Barristers Title Favorite Halloween Movie Memories
Halloween is near and the fall temperatures are finally kicking in! This month calls for curling up on the couch and watching your favorite horror flick! Here are a few of our favorite memories.
“I saw the ‘Exorcist’ with my parents when I was about 10 or 11. I thought it was scary, but I handled it. After I went to bed, I woke up around 3:00am drenched in sweat. I literally had to go to the bathroom to towel off. I don’t know what I was dreaming, but obviously the movie had an impact on me. I haven’t watched it since. And won’t.” ~Sal Balsamo
“As an adult I watched “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”. In the movie they talk about how 2:00 am (or something like that) is when you are more susceptible to becoming possessed. Well, after I watched it I woke up sometime in the middle of the night and refused to look at the clock because I was afraid it was that specific time!” ~Maria Houghton
“One time my youngest daughter had her soccer team sleep over for her birthday. They watched the original ‘When A Stranger Calls’ with Bernadette Peters. Right at the end she got the phone call saying “get out of the house he is in there with you” and I had the neighbor call my house at the exact moment. You have not heard anything until you’ve heard 11 teen girls scream at the top of their lungs!” ~Amy Champagne
“I watched ‘IT’ when I was around 10. I was afraid to go to the bathroom for a few weeks because I thought he was going to come after me through the pipes!”
~Kristen Moorefield
“It’s not Halloween without a little Michael Myers, Freddy, or Jason! When I was younger, me and my mom would walk down the hall to the bathroom together after watching scary movies. Those are the things you remember even if you can’t remember the movies themselves.”
~Candice Mott
